A very popular new activity in the Toddler 2 classroom is painting on an easel. The children enjoy the chance to engage their whole bodies in their artwork, stretching on tiptoe to reach the top of the paper and bending down low to paint the very bottom corners.  As parents might imagine, this work also provides many opportunities for practical life exercises in cleaning up!  The children see the cleaning-up process (washing their hands, wiping down the smock and scrubbing any drips from the table or floor) as an integral component of the work and many of them look forward to the clean-up as much as the painting itself.
