15-October 15, 2015 is Hispanic Heritage Month (Mes de la Herencia Hispana)! There are a many family friendly local activities
and events that celebrate Hispanic culture, language and identity.

The Frida Khalo Art, Garden, Life exhibit at the New York Botanical Gardens continues through November 1. For more information: http://www.nybg.org/frida/.
The National Museum of the American Indian will host a Hispanic Heritage Family Day on Saturday, September 19, from 12:00 to 4:00 p.m. The museum is located in lower Manhattan. Admission is free. For more information: http://nmai.si.edu/calendar/?trumbaEmbed=view%3Devent%26eventid%3D115371603.
Be sure to check out the Smithsonian’s other Hispanic Heritage Month offerings, especially if you plan to be in Washington, DC . They have numerous activities planned and admission to all Smithsonian Museums is free.
