Since the beginning of the year, the Toddler 2 students have been developing their fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination through an increasingly challenging series of activities. They began the year by working to place pegs in a peg board, then moved on to threading large wooden beads and stringing small beads on a lanyard. Now, they have been introduced to the lacing boards, a challenging activity that builds upon their mastery of those earlier skills. They carefully thread a string in and out through the holes on the lacing board, which requires great concentration as well as dexterity. It is a delight to see their determination as they tackle a new piece of work.
