The Pink Tower is a Montessori Sensorial material that provides students with a hands-on, physical experience of the concepts of relative size, weight and volume.  As the Toddler 2 students sort the cubes from biggest to smallest, they fine-tune their ability to discriminate and grade according to size.  It is called a “self-correcting” material because the child can easily see if the cubes are out of order in the tower; there is no need for a teacher to offer correction, judgement or validation.  In this way, the child learns to trust her own judgment and builds faith in her ability to solve problems without an adult’s help.
