The Primary 1 students learned about insects, including what they eat and their life cycles. The students also showed a keen interest in learning about insect body temperature and structure and how insects breathe.  They finished their lesson with a fun project called Metamorphosis, Caterpillar to….   First, the students push-pinned the shapes of leaves using materials from the Botany cabinet and then they molded some eggs out of paper.  Next, they colored a caterpillar and a chrysalis.  Finally, they colored a butterfly and pasted it on the chrysalis to simulate the final part of the butterfly life cycle.
