There are many materials in the Montessori Primary classroom that help to develop Math concepts and, indirectly, other skills and concepts.  The Constructive Triangle’s direct purpose is to help the student recognize that equilateral triangles can be subdivided into other types of triangles. It is also indirect preparation for Geometry.  The Hundred Board helps a child to master the numerical order from one to one hundred and introduces numerical patterns.  With the Bead Chain Cabinet, students practice linear counting while being introduced to concepts of skip counting, squaring and cubing of numbers.
