This week’s Kindergarten STEM class had a winter theme.  The students were asked to build huts around cubes of ice in cups (representing snowmen) to prevent the ice from melting.  The students worked in groups and used materials such as straws, aluminum foil, sticks, modeling clay, tape and foam plates.  At the end of the project they checked which group’s ice melted the most and which group managed to best prevent the melting.
