Weekly Announcements - Friday, November 6, 2015

WFM will offer the annual Flu Vaccine Clinic for students and parents on Wednesday, November 11, beginning at 8:00 a.m. at the Lower School campus on the first floor.  The vaccine will be administered on a first come, first served basis.  Registration forms are due to the school office by Tuesday, November 10.

  • Reminder:  Flu Vaccine - New Jersey State Law requires all students under five years old as of October 1, 2015, who are attending school in New Jersey to receive the influenza vaccine before December 31, 2015.  If your child is required to have this vaccine, please provide proof of his or her flu vaccination for our records.  If we do not have proof that he or she has received the vaccine, we must exclude the child from school until he or she receives it.

We invite you join us for a K/A Coffee on Thursday, November 12, from 8:15 to 9:15 a.m., in the second floor Upper School Art Room.  Every other week, Karen Westman, our Head of School, hosts drop-in coffees for WFM parents. No RSVP is required and the coffees are open to all WFM parents.  Please stop by the second floor Upper School Art Room on Thursday to stay current on what is happening at WFM.  We look forward to seeing you there!

On Friday, November 13, from 2:30 to 3:00 p.m., Lower Elementary and Upper Elementary parents are invited to join us in their child’s classroom for Open Friday.  This is a special time for parents to come in and spend time with their children in their classrooms (rather than a time to meet with teachers).  We hope you can join us!

Trick or Treat for UNICEF Boxes:  If your child collected for UNICEF, please bring your donation boxes to school as soon as possible so that we may total our funds and make our donation to support the Syrian children in refugee camps in Jordan and Turkey.

Operation Gratitude! By Monday, November 9, please bring extra new, unopened Halloween candy in to the school office to send to US military personnel.  ROAR Dental, will pay our UE/MS students $1.00 per pound of candy collected to go toward their fundraising.  Help our students treat the troops and raise funds, too!

As always, we are glad to have your family as part of our WFM community.  We hope that you will visit The Flow often and share what is happening at Waterfront Montessori!
