Thanks to all the
families who were able to join us for the Fall Welcome Breakfast last
weekend! It was a great kickoff to the
school year and a wonderful opportunity to gather and connect as a school
Art, Java Programming, Karate, Make Lab and Robotics classes for Elementary and
Middle School students are scheduled to begin next week. (Please note the age requirements on the
registration form for each class.) Watch for the dedicated email to download information and the registration
forms. To secure a spot for your child in
a class, please submit the registration form with payment as soon as
possible. Please note that spaces in the
classes are first come, first served.
We invite you to our first K/A Coffee of the school year, which will take place next week, on Thursday, October 1, from 8:15 to 9:15 a.m., in the first floor Multipurpose Room. Every other week, Karen Westman, our Head of School, and Allison Schneider, our Associate Head of School (who is now on maternity leave) host drop-in coffees for WFM parents. No RSVP is required and the coffees are open to all WFM parents. Please stop by the first floor Multipurpose Room on Thursday to stay current on what is happening at WFM. We look forward to seeing you there!
Flu Vaccine: New Jersey State Law requires all students under five years old as of October 1, 2015, who are attending school in New Jersey to receive the influenza vaccine before December 31, 2015. If your child is required to have this vaccine, please provide proof of his or her flu vaccination for our records. If we do not have proof that he or she has received the vaccine, we must exclude the child from school until he or she receives it.
Last Call: Pizza Fridays will begin next week on Friday, October 2, at the Upper Campus for Elementary and Middle School students. This year we have a new vendor: Krispy Pizza will provide pies made with fresh, homemade ingredients. Click here for details and to register. The Pizza Friday fundraiser helps to finance our students’ participation in Montessori Model United Nations. We appreciate your support of our students!
Continuing Families: If you are unable to log in to the Parent Pages even though you have the same email address and you were able to do so last year, please do not worry. Some parent email addresses were necessarily re-entered into the Parent Pages system. Simply click on the link for a lost password and log in with the temporary one provided until you are able to reset your personal password. We apologize for any inconvenience as we update and maintain the log in roster at this time of the year.
As always, we are glad to have your family as part of our WFM community. We hope that you will visit The Flow often and share what is happening at Waterfront Montessori!
