Join us for a fun-filled, enriching program where learning and play are joyfully intertwined, curiosity is continually sparked, and our students’ natural talents and passions are encouraged to soar!

Camp will convene on the playground each morning for a spirit-boosting round of camp songs and cheer. Campers will enjoy weekly water play, sports, music and dance classes, Mad Science experiments, and cooking. Each three-week session will end on a high note with fresh fruit ice pops and an exciting magic show on the final Friday.

We believe that children never stop learning. Provided an environment in which learning and play are indistinguishable, they continue to learn and grow no matter the time of year. With our Montessori-grounded, 360-degree approach to teaching, your child’s learning will never be deeper. But they will just call it fun! 

Summer Camp will be from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. for 2 year-olds, and 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. for 3-6 year-old.

Session 1: June 24 - July 12 *No camp on July 4 & 5

Program Details

Give your two-year-old a chance to take his or her first steps toward independence and self-care!

Toddlers have an amazing capacity to do things for themselves, if only we could give enough time and space to work on these skills – something that can be hard for us to do in the midst of our busy lives.  Our classrooms are staffed with our experienced lead teachers, who have the patience of saints and expertise in child development. Let them nurture and develop your child’s drive to master the world around him or her in an environment in which learning and play are indistinguishable. Our children will also sing to their hearts content with our talented Music staff. Outdoor play in our secure playground rounds out the morning.

Launch your youngster on a global, biological adventure in six weeks with Earth’s Amazing Animals! Children learn best by creating, engaging, collaborating and exploring. Each week, campers will explore Earth’s Amazing animals from sea to sky through unique and engaging hands-on experiments and activities in STEM, science, music, dance, history, art and cooking. Each three-week session will end on a high note with fresh fruit ice pops and an exciting magic show on the final Friday.

Campers will then join a morning sports class or dance lesson before diving into a day of environmental exploration. With our Montessori-grounded, 360-degree approach to teaching, your child’s learning will never be deeper. But they will just call it fun! 

Session 1: June 24 - July 12 (No camp on July 4 & 5)

Week 1, June 24 - June 28: Fish
One fish, two fish, strange fish, new fish: Take a deep dive into the weird and wonderful undersea world of our fish friends!  From angelfish to zebrafish, with sharks in between, play with fish fossils, dig for shells, or create your own mini-habitat to learn what makes our ocean life so unique and valuable.

Week 2, July 1 - July 3 (No camp on July 4 & 5): Reptiles
Walk on the wild side with cold-blooded, egg-laying vertebrates, from dwarf geckos to Komodo dragons.  Meet snakes and crocs and explore habitats, habits and which of these to beware of.  And did we mention dinosaurs?  We are bringing the dinosaur museum to us, with bones and eggs from every child’s favorite fantastic reptiles!

Week 3, July 8 - July 12: Insects
It’s creepy crawly time this week at camp as hundreds of insects come to visit (preserved and mounted, thank goodness, if you are an adult).  Learn which ones are what and why they are so important to keeping both our planet and humans alive. Fun fact: Did you know that cockroaches are important for recycling nutrients in nature?

Session 2: July 17 - Aug 4

Week 4, July 15 - July 19: Mammals
Hairy, furry and everything in between: Mammals are our focus this week!  Explore the history and art of making yarn, beginning with a visit from a sheep and an angora rabbit, then learning how to harvest, clean, tease, card and spin the wool into yarn with a real spinning wheel! 

Week 5, July 22 - July 26: Amphibians
Wet or dry, amphibians can handle it!  Learn to mimic these versatile and nimble born-in-water land creatures with a Tiny Tumbler gymnastic experience.  Using balance, jumping, vaulting, rolling, crawling and carrying, campers will work on full body motor control, while learning about these unique multi-environment inhabitants of our planet.

Week 6, July 29 - August 2: Birds
Can you hear the chirping?  Campers will catch flight with this group of winged creatures and even get to watch ducklings hatch!  Our feathered friends will be our Summer Camp grand finale. And while we are at it, let’s try to figure out whether birds are dinosaurs, too!

We provide each camper with camp t-shirts and their very own travel suitcase, in which they will store their finished projects. Campers love decorating their suitcase with each animals family sticker as we “visit” a new location each week. They will also receive an explorer’s journal, the perfect complement to their incredible journey.

SUMMER CAMP REVIEWS

We have absolutely loved our experience at Waterfront Montessori’s summer camp for our son in the Toddlers 2 program. The very high teacher to child ratio has ensured that he has a lot of individual attention and care, which has greatly eased his transition. Being his first time out of the house, we so greatly appreciated the regular check-ins from the administration keeping us informed and aware of how he was doing each day. The Instagram account has further highlighted all of the fun that he has had in music class, outdoors in their beautiful private waterfront open space, and exploring all of the interesting Montessori games and activities in the class room. All in all, it has been a wonderful experience and we are excited for my child to spend more time at Waterfront Montessori as a full time student this fall!

My child has had a really great camp this year. Thank you so much for the great camp! This is our second time at Waterfront Montessori’s summer camp. My son loves to go to school every morning, and loves to tell us the fun activities, the things he learned, and the interactions with teachers and other kids every single day. He also happily sings the camp songs at home. I can feel he is really having great times at school.

There are some aspects we think Waterfront Montessori is doing really excellent. First, teachers are very patient, kind and helpful, and also very devoted. Kids feel loved and safe at school. Second, there are a lot of enrichments, art, music, gym and some special activities in each session of the camp. There are plenty of outdoor activities. We absolutely love the camp at Waterfront Montessori school and had wonderful experiences there. Thank you to all the devoted camp teachers at Waterfront Montessori!

I just wanted to let you know how happy we are with last year's Summer camp experience.

We took our 4-year-old son to the camp last year. He really had fun and enjoyed attending every day to the lessons. He enjoyed the place the method and also the teachers and we as parents were really satisfied. Actually, the experience was so great that this year 2023 we brought our 5-year-old son to the summer camp and also his two-and-a-half-year-old brother to the Waterfront Montessori Summer Camp. Again this year 2023 the experience it´s being amazing for both of our kids and they are super happy when we leave them every morning and even more happy when we pick them up at the end of the day. Next year we will have them both coming back to the camp.

I couldn't have asked for a better intro to school life for my son than our experience with summer camp at Waterfront Montessori! As a "covid baby", My child had not yet socialized much outside of our home and the teachers helped us through this transition. After a challenging first week, My child’s tears turned to smiles and he blossomed into a happy school boy. I could not be more pleased with the extra care and warmth that we received. My child has loved the special visits with farm animals, water play and bikes outside and warming up to his classmates. We are so excited for my child’s growth with the school as we look to the second summer camp session and his full time enrollment this Fall!
