There are several ways to practice linear counting in the Primary 3 Montessori classroom. The Short Bead Chains are used to practice linear counting as well as skip counting.  The student counts each bead and places number tabs in the appropriate place along with the square for the chain.  With the Teen Board, the student builds teen numbers using beads and places the corresponding number next to the quantity.
