WFM In-Person Reopening Guidelines
On May 3, 2021, we will reopen our classrooms to all students enrolled in the in-person program five days a week for three hours every morning. All students who choose to do so will continue to attend the playground on their designated days as scheduled, except that playground morning sessions will start at 8:30 a.m. instead of 9:00 a.m.
All afternoon virtual sessions, including all specials, will continue as scheduled, as will afternoon playground sessions.
Please read the following carefully for the information you will need in order for your child to attend in-person classes at the school.
Sign-In, Lower School (Primary 3 Door)
Kindergarten 8:15 a.m. to 8:30 a.m.
Students will be signed in by a staff member.
Sign-In, Upper School (150 Warren Lobby Door)
LE and UE 8:00 a.m. to 8:20 a.m.
MS 8:30 a.m. to 8:40 a.m.
Students will be signed in by a staff member.
Please note that no late arrivals will be permitted.
Sign-In Procedures
The Daily Health Screening must be completed for all students prior to arrival.
Students and parents will line up, socially distanced and masked, outside the dropoff point (P3, 150 Warren St. lobby or playground, as applicable).
Each student will be signed in by school personnel, one at a time.
When they enter the school premises, students will step into a disinfection bath to clean their shoes. No indoor shoes or shoe changing will be required or permitted.
Students will sanitize their hands.
Students will have their temperature taken.
Students will place all outside materials in a bin that has been assigned to them. As with the playground, students should not bring more than a water bottle and small items to school. No backpacks or other bulky items can be stored on site.
Students will be asked to wash their hands upon entry to the classroom.
On Morning Playground Days
Students will be signed in at the playground at 8:30 a.m.
Students who chose the hybrid program A (online & playground sessions) will be dismissed from the playground.
Students attending school in-person will be escorted to their classrooms and dismissed at the usual class dismissal time.
Morning Playground Session Times
All morning playground sessions now begin at 8:30 a.m. instead of 9:00 a.m.
Kindergarten 8:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. Thursdays
Lower El North 8:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. Wednesdays
Lower El West 8:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. Fridays
Upper El 8:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. Mondays
Middle School 8:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. Tuesdays
Afternoon Playground Session Times
All afternoon playground sessions will take place at the usual time on the usual days for each class. The sessions start at 1 p.m.
Midday Pickup
Kindergarten: Primary 3 Door at 11:30 a.m.
Lower and Upper El: Art Room
Students will be signed out by a staff member and released to their parent or caregiver at the following times:
11:30 a.m. sharp: Lower El North
11:40 a.m. sharp: Lower El West
11:50 a.m. sharp: Upper Elementary
Students who have not been picked up during the dismissal period for their class will be relocated to the 150 Warren St lobby for pickup. Students will not be returned to the school premises.
Middle School and Late for Pickup: 150 Warren St. Lobby
12:00 p.m.: Middle School. With parental permission, Middle Schools students may self-dismiss through the lobby doors. Students who are being picked up will be picked up at the 150 Warren St. lobby door.
Students who have not been picked up during the dismissal period for their class will be relocated to the 150 Warren St lobby for pickup. Students will not be returned to the school premises.
Weekly PCR COVID Testing
PCR testing of all students will take place on Tuesdays, just prior to dismissal.
Any student who is absent on a Tuesday for testing must arrange to provide to the school, prior to the student’s arrival at the school on Friday of that week, the results of a privately arranged PCR COVID test administered in the prior 72 hours.
Testing will be conducted via shallow nasal swab collected by a registered lab technician on behalf of BackToWork Solutions. Families will be required register their child(ren) in a custom BTW Solutions portal specific to WFM.
Families may opt out of in-school testing. However, any family that opts out of in-school PCR testing must, each Friday, provide to the school, prior to the student’s arrival at the school on Friday, the results of a privately arranged PCR COVID test administered in the prior 72 hours.
Additional information about the COVID testing program and how to set up an account will be provided separately.
Denial of Entry into the School
Entry will be denied to students who have not:
submitted the Daily Health Screening prior to arrival at school, OR
provided evidence on each Friday of negative PCR COVID test via BackToWork Solutions or through a private provider, administered in the 72 hours prior to that Friday arrival.
Classroom/School COVID Rules
Students will wear well-fitted double masks at all times.
Students may not remove their masks inside the school.
Students must bring their own water bottle to school. Water from student water bottles must be delivered via a straw that can be slipped under a student’s mask in order for them to drink. Masks may not be removed inside the school in order to drink.
Snacks and lunch will not be allowed inside the school.
Social distancing will be observed in the classroom. All Kindergarten, LE and UE
students will be required to maintain a minimum of three-foot distancing in the
classroom. MS students must maintain six-foot distancing.
Student freedom of movement will be restricted. Students will have assigned seating
in the classroom and adhere to rules about when, how and to where they may move.
Bathroom use will be by express permission only. In Upper El and Middle School,
use of the communal bathrooms will be restricted to one student of each gender from
each class at a time in order to maintain distancing.
No outside persons, visitors or parents will be allowed inside the school while
students are inside.
If there is a COVID-19 case in the school, we may have to close the classroom or the
school and families may have to quarantine.
Dismissal from In-Person Learning
The school reserves the right to return any student to fully virtual classes if:
The student is unable to follow the school and classroom rules
The student is consistently late to arrive at school
The student is consistently picked up late
The student, a parent or a caregiver behaves in a manner that does not respect the
health, safety and welfare of any member of the school community.
Dismissal from In-Person Learning
The school reserves the right to return any student to fully virtual classes if:
The student is unable to follow the school and classroom rules.
The student is consistently late to arrive at school.
The student is consistently picked up late.
The student, a parent or a caregiver behaves in a manner that does not respect the health, safety and welfare of any member of the school community.
Teacher Assignments
Kindergarten: Ms. Sarah will be present in the classroom; Ms. Evelyn will teach online.
Lower Elementary: Ms. Susan will be In Lower El North; Ms. Alex will be in Lower El West; Ms. Tatiana will teach in both classes as needed. Students who are virtual will be combined in a single online class team-taught by Ms. Aecha and Ms. Yvette.
Upper Elementary: Mr. Henry and Ms. Preeti will be present in the classroom; Ms. Susan will be fully virtual; however, the virtual program will be integrated with the physical program so that students will get the benefit of all teachers.
Middle School: Ms. Sarah, Ms. Nusrat and Mr. Jonathan will be present in the classroom and will integrate the virtual classroom into the physical classroom.
Changes to COVID-Related 2020-21 COVID-19 Documents

All references to quarantine in these documents refer to the requirements for unvaccinated persons. Please note quarantine is not required for anyone fully vaccinated. The State of New Jersey defines fully vaccinated as two weeks after administration of the second vaccine dose or, in the case of the J&J vaccine, two weeks after administration of the single vaccine dose.
2020/21 COVID-19 Pledge, Waiver and Release
Item (3) in the second list on page one is amended to read:

(4) Maintain a social distance of at least 6 feet (adults and middle school students, both inside and outside (unless fully vaccinated) and at least 3 feet (all other students, both inside and outside).
2020/21 COVID Response Protocols
All references to 14-day quarantines are amended to 10-day quarantines throughout the document.
Item 8. has been revised to reflect travel outside the New Jersey bubble (NY, CT, PA, DE) or contact with a visitor from outside the NJ bubble who has not yet quarantined. The State of New Jersey requires a quarantine of 7 days if a COVID test administered between days 3 and 5 of the quarantine is negative or, in the absence of a COVID test, 10 days without symptoms.
